The Linksys POES5 Power Over Ethernet Splitter lets you put your Linksys IP Phones almost anywhere, by removing the requirement of nearby power outlets. The POES5 sends power and VoIP over one Category 5 cable to your Linksys IP Phone. When it's time to add or relocate a phone, the POES5 can simplify your installation. The POES5 provides an 802.3af PoE port for connection back to a PoE switch. The compact POES5 connects to the standard DC power input and RJ45 Ethernet port on the Linksys IP Phone (or other supported Linksys VoIP product) via two split cables. The POES5 can be then tucked away and concealed in the stand attached to the Linksys IP phone.
